Helped determine whether the Mauritius Revenue Authority was right to calculate a solidarity levy on the whole turnover of a telephony services provider, and whether the solidarity levy was subject to income tax.

Assisted with disputes on the legality of decisions of the Bank of Mauritius and constitutionality of amendments made to the Banking Act.

Assisting with a dispute as to whether, on appeal from the assessment review committee to the Supreme Court, an appellant’s failure to lodge a case stated at the registry of the Supreme Court within the statutory delay of lodging a notice of appeal was fatal.
